Fire Prevention

Our Fire Prevention Division uses a proactive method of preventing fire-based emergencies and reducing damage caused by them. The goal of our Fire Prevention Division is to educate the public on the precautions which should be taken to prevent potentially harmful fire and how to survive these fire if they do occur.

Kidde SupraMax Keybox

The building owner/occupant purchases and installs the Kidde Supra Max box on the outside of their building near the main entrance. Once installed the owner/occupant places key to the door inside of the Kidde Supra Max box which is then securely locked via the fire district's Kidde Supra Max box Master Key. In the event of an emergency or fire alarm the Fire Department is able to retrieve the entrance keys and enter the structure without causing damage to the entrance door(s).

Knox Box Program (RAPID ACCESS IN AN EMERGENCY)

How a Knox Box works. The building owner/occupant purchases and installs a knox box on the outside of their building near the main entrance. Once installed the owner/occupant places key to the door inside of the Knox Box which is then securely locked via the fire district's Knox Master Key. In the event of an emergency or fire alarm the Fire Department is able to retrieve the entrance keys and enter the structure without causing damage to the entrance door(s).
